Expansion manufacturing update

It’s been almost two months since our last update and during that time we’ve been working closely with our manufactures on the Cathedral Square expansion pack. Over the summer we’ve had to fix a number of serious issues with the factory that were not anticipated. This has caused us to become a couple months behind schedule, but I am happy to say that we have finally fixed all the issues and the Cathedral Square is looking amazing!
What we've been up to
We originally finished design of the expansion pack in late April and began working with the factory on production tests in May. Our first couple sets back from the factory however had some issues and our manufacturer was a bit slow to turn around the fixes. Going into August we were optimistic that we could still meet our October shipping deadline until we found yet another set of issues. We made those fixes and just this morning I received photos from the factory of the perfected Cathedral Square Expansion (take a look below).
The timeline
As of this morning we’ve approved the expansion pack for mass production and it will begin right away. Production times on a product like this can take up to 60 days, but we are pushing hard to shave some time off of that (ideally a couple weeks). We will keep you up to date with how it’s going. If things go well we should have the expansion pack in our Hong Kong Warehouse by late November and the first sets (for our fast shipping customers) could be delivered by the end of November or early December. Our original shipping deadline was October 30th, so we are hoping that we end up being no more than 1 or 1.5 months behind that original goal.

What customers with standard shipping speed should expect
Customers that haven’t selected our fast shipping will need to wait until we bulk ship to our US based warehouse. This will mean arranging a cargo container and passage on a ship, train and truck. Last time this took around 70 days and I think that may be a good estimate again. All together it means that some customers will not get their terrain until around February of next year. I know that seem like a while off and we are doing what we can to speed things up. You can still choose our fast shipping option by contacting [email protected] and we will not only get your expansion pack to you this year, but we will ship your core set out right away! Buying fast shipping allows us to afford shipping directly from Hong Kong and paying to ship both your sets separately.
Sorry it took so long for this update, things were changing so fast every week and I really had no idea what to say until it was all confirmed. I will give you regular updates as we go through manufacturing and start seeing our first batches off the production line.
We all know that making something new for the first time is tricky and a learning experience. All of us at Titans really appreciate the patience and support while we work hard to get this right! We really can’t wait for everyone to get this in their hands.

It’s been 3 weeks since we started shipping Titans Terrain and already thousands of customers have received their sets. We’ve been getting messages and pictures showing customers playing their first game with Titans Terrain and we wanted to share some here.

Over 1000 sets of Titans Terrain are shipping out of our warehouse this week. Many have already shipped and you will start receiving confirmation emails from Backerkit with tracking numbers within the next couple days.
Around half of our customers have chosen fast shipping and their order is shipping now. Everyone who defaulted to slower shipping will have their order shipped later this year.

Titans Terrain is in the warehouse!

I’m so excited to say that Titans Terrain has arrived and was fully unloaded into our US warehouse yesterday. We will be taking the weekend to lock customers addresses and allow any straggles to sign up for fast shipping. We are planning to start shipping to backers this Monday 11th.

Now is the last chance to update your address for the backers that are getting fast shipping. You can update your address through Backerkit or email us at [email protected] and we can change it for you. If your order isn’t shipping until later this year, we can update your address anytime between now and then.
Last chance for fast shipping
If you prefer to have your set of Titans Terrain ship now instead of waiting until later this year you need to get fast shipping. If you don’t select fast shipping in the next day or two then your order will not go out with the first wave of customers. You can still select fast shipping later, but your order will go out in a future batch.

Time to charge cards and finalize your address

The time has finally come! The train with Titans Terrain has arrived and it will be stacked in our warehouse by Thursday the 7th! To ensure we can ship it out ASAP it is time to charge everyone for their shipping costs and Backerkit orders. Wednesday July 6th at 10am EST (tomorrow morning) we will begin to charge cards. Make sure your card information is correct and ready to go. If you need to make a change you can do so through your Backerkit survey (the link is in your email). Also make sure your shipping address is up to date!
How much will I be charged?
If you backed through Kickstarter then you have already paid for your order. You will only be charged for shipping and taxes/VAT on your complete order (where applicable). If you pre-ordered through Backerkit you will be charged for anything you pre-ordered in addition to shipping and taxes/VAT. You can find shipping amounts in our previous update post.
What if I still want to change my shipping option?
Customers who missed their chance to select fast shipping can email us at [email protected]. We may not be able to make the change before your card is charged. What this means is we will have to modify your order and charge you again for the difference in price. It also means you order might ship out a week later than others.
What if we haven’t responded to your question yet?
We are working through all the customer questions and requests as quickly as we can. We will strive to resolve everything before cards are charged tomorrow. We will be addressing every customer question and working with everyone who needs to make changes or fix their orders.
So when will I get my order?
Customers who picked fast shipping will have their order sent out next week.
Customers who did not pick fast shipping and defaulted too slow, will get their order late this year.
Customers who only ordered our core set will have their order sent out next week.
Customers in regions without a slow shipping option (eg. AUS, NL, EU, Asia) will get it next week.
